These behaviours are typically built up over a long period of time or passed on to us whilst growing up through an event that causes extreme emotion. It is this negative reinforcement that breeds the debilitating fear that stops us from living life to the fullest.
Where do fears & phobias come from?
Fear is a very powerful emotion that has the ability to alter and affect the way we deal with situations that crop up within our lives.
Phobias tend to be made up of learned behaviour that exists because of something you have personally experienced or witnessed somebody else experience.
Whilst it can be difficult facing your fears head on, failing to confront them can end up strengthening the negative association you have with the fear or phobia and leave you even more scared.
