I posted a video recently on my facebook about a call I had with a client and how they felt they could not openly tell their male friends about their Mental Health without fear of ridicule or being teased by the banter of the group.
It got me thinking is this how Men view mental health that it is a sign of weakness or makes you less of a Man because you choose to seek help or you may be struggling. In fact its the total opposite a Man who takes those steps reaches out and seeks professional help is seen as a person who is not in freefall but in total control and taking charge of the problems they face to make the strongest recovery possible to benefit not only themselves but their family and friends.
My point is its vital that Men take a moment to think! It takes a lot for a Man to open up and say that he needs Mental Health Support. Imagine that this was you if you are a Man reading this or your Brother, Son, Husband if you are a Lady reading this would you hope that your loved one was supported by their friends and peer group or ridiculed and made to feel under values and worse still teased about their masculinity.
I hope its the former and not the latter. As a shameless plug I thought I would extend an offer of 3 x 45 min sessions to anyone regardless of Gender for £100 Saving £35.00. You can quote WEB100 as the offer when you contact me to claim this. For me its not about the offer in the sense of the £100 it is to encourage commitment that you have invested the money so why not invest in yourself and engage in all the 3 sessions.
Final note please take a couple of minutes out of your day to reach out to your friends and instead of a hello. Would you please scratch below the surface and check on your friends.
